Cars are lame

Hey there all,

This is Chris, I haven't blogged in a while so here's whats up. I decided that for the whole month of October I would go on a cleanse of using the jeep. So for the whole month I will only be using my bike to get around. Natalie has agreed to this under the terms that I blog about it at least once a week. I will be measuring some things like how fast it takes me to get to my apartment from Natalie's (which is all the way across town), my weight, and maybe some other things if I think of them! Tonight starts the first day Natalie dropped me off on campus with my bike and starting at 12 I will only be biking!
So I'll let you know in a week how its going!
My Bike! (also I'm riding with only one gear)

DIY

I might be planning on doing a lot of DIY projects for this wedding. I just found this fabric chandelier on 100layer cake, and I am in love. I really need to make a list of all the projects I want to get done so that I don't go overboard. If you saw my wedding inspiration folder on my mac, you'd say I've already gone overboard. But I think this project is sweet and totally doable, right??

Good Monday

Today was a good day because I wore all grey and Fall began. High in the 60's and leaves that are starting to change color.

Chris and I had a great visit with my family this weekend. Chris met some more of my family and us girls got to start planning the wedding. Road trips with Chris are nice, but mini vacations always end too soon and then real life begins way too fast. What can you do?

If you've ever loved somebody put your hands up

Sorry we've been MIA...
Studio, classes, and work take up too much time, and aren't very fun to blog about.
We're headed to Manassas for the weekend! Crossing our fingers that the jeep will make it.
oh, and life is good.

Blogging live from...

We're at Chris's live radio show on the college radio station.
Tonight, Chris decided to change up his show. He took a break from his heavy metal to play some lady gaga (who we both love.) Apparently the listeners were not so impressed and called in with some very choice words to tell Chris what he should be playing instead! haha. I guess some people do listen to local radio at 1 am! Who knew!?!
Speaking of music, I am obsessing over the song Chicago by Sufjan Stevens. Listen to it here. Is it from a movie or commercial?
anyway, hope your week is a little bit less hectic than ours!

Leftover pictures from the summer

Before leaving for the beach/school I went with my Dad (aka Kookoopa) to the National Building Museum in DC. If you haven't been there before, you should go. Walk down to Chinatown while you're there, too! All these pics are from the most recent Argus roll. Enjoy!

The best two gifts Chris has given me

Hello again! Here's the ring! With the Argus (of course). Probably two of my favorite things that I own.

Wedding and marriage has been all thats on my mind, but I have to remember that we still have nine months until June! Ah, I least I don't have to wait anymore to wear my pearl on my left finger.

Chris and I had an 'on campus date' last night. He snuck me in to a viewing of an episode of planet earth that he had to watch for a class, and we walked across the drill field to get ice cream. Nights like that make 12 hours on campus alright. We're trying to plan some adventures for the 70 degree weather this weekend, maybe a bike ride/ picnic?
Have an awesome weekend!

Let the planning begin!

Wedding found on Etsy's blog: The Handmade Life

And so the wedding planning begins! I'm still in the process of making BIG decisions about colors, themes, and venues so wedding blogs are my best friends right now (other than Chris...) Right now I'm loving how personal and unique this wedding is. I'm also loving the paper strip ceiling. Ah. More on my actual wedding and decisions to come!
