Finally.

Goodbye winter!

Can you believe its almost spring? Its hard to tell considering that outside of studio right now there is snow coming down, but spring is coming! Monday the high is 61 degrees, oh my!

Winter and I have had a testy relationship this year, but here are some things I will miss about winter weather:

-My grey boots

-Chris's creative attempts at layering

-Hot Chocolate

-The small chance of classes being canceled

-Snowboarding!

-Cutting through buildings on the way to class to stay warm

-Peacoats

-Black tights

-Homemade hats

While Chris is busy stealing my camera, and studying for exams in every single class, I'm looking at vegetarian recipes that I want to try. So far we've attempted eggplant parmesan, tofu stirfry, veggie curry with mango chutney, and pad thai to name a few...

Vegetarian chili

Black Bean Soup with Limed Up Shrimp From Rachael Ray's Express Lane Meals. Did I mention we still eat seafood occasionally?

Sun Dried Tomato and Pesto Linguine


Right now I'm craving some good old fashioned grilled cheese.

But can anything beat a six inch veggie patty from the subway next to my studio? I'm not so sure...

Smokey Bear

My dear smokey the cat passed on Thursday, Feb 11th. We adopted him into the family in July 2004 when he was only 2.5 months old. For the past 5+ years he has been a very special part of the Brayley family. His birthday is May 1st, he loved catnip and lazerpointers. I love him. I miss him. It will be hard to go home without him there, carrying his pink mouse in his mouth and cuddling in my bed with me.
